Author Topic: Abstractia Background Pack - COLOR PACK RELEASED  (Read 2097 times)

Abstractia
Now comes in a variety of colors!

4/24/2010
I've been too busy to do much else background-wise. I've also run out of some ideas recently. But, to make up for the time that I won't have many backgrounds released, I've released "Abstractia Background Pack 0.4", which is the same two backgrounds I've already released, but in different colors. Abstractia One comes in 14 different varieties, while Abstractia Two comes in two different varieties.

If you want to help out, send me a PM of what you'd like to see in my next background. You'll be added to the "Thanks" list in the next version of the Abstractia Background Pack.

I've also updated the license.

This is Abstractia. As the name suggests, all the backgrounds in this pack will be abstract. I plan to make a minimum of at least five backgrounds for this pack. Ideas and suggestions are always welcome, feel free to post them.

All backgrounds after Abstractia Two will be a higher resolution, by request.

Goal progress: 2/5

I hereby release all backgrounds in this pack under this license:

Tom

That's really good.

That's really good! I think I'm gonna use it.

Any idea when we might expect the next one?

Not yet, I just make all this stuff up while I go.
I was somehow inspired by Debian Linux for this background.

Ah. Well I'll be looking forward to your next one.

If anybody was having trouble viewing the fullsize image, it's been fixed.

It's abstract, but it reminds me of those cat tail plants that grow around lakes and swamps. I really like the sunburst too.

Also, GNU  :cookieMonster:

Can you do at least one at 1600x1200?

Using your first one right now.

You should do them in a higher definition. At least most (if not all) OS's can scale down the image for a desktop background, and even then it's not hard to crop an image.

Awesome. I'm gonna use one for my desktop (Magically fits 1680x1050 :D)

What program did you use?

most likely pdn, sirrus
