Author Topic: [Tutorial] Making musics for Blockland  (Read 2608 times)

Some People just don't know what to do, but others don't seem to know how to convert them to mono.
Well, everything is now explained right here.

How to Make musics for Blockland -Works with the demo, I guess.-
1 - Download Audacity here.(1.2.6, the other one is in beta)
2 - Install Audacity
3 - Open a music with it.
4 - Now you can process the music before you export. You might want to cut some parts of the music by selecting it (with click-and-drag and the "delete" button) or use some other features(like speed, pitch,... on the effects menu.)
5 - Time to convert the file to mono. Go to the Project menu and click on "New sound track".
Now here's the magic trick. Select all the music on the "stereoed" track, cut it with Ctrl+X and paste it into the new track. Close the old track. The music is now mono type.
6 - Goto File > Export as Ogg Vorbis to export the music.
7 - Put the file on ./Blockland/base/data/sound/music/
8 - Run Blockland and go to the Start Game menu.
9 - Click on the musics button and check your music on it.
10 - Gimme cookies! Have fun with your music. :)

If I posted it on youtube, the quality would drop so much it would be illegible.

Wedge your VERY slow at making it mono, I'm aware your making it for slow people but my way is allot faster... but takes skill =D.

Both Tutorials are good, needs more Shoop Da Whoop though...

My way takes 20 seconds, I don't usually bother mixing the tracks.

Any faster and you are either impatient or lazy. Or both. :cookieMonster:

lol yup I'm both for sure Not enough time have to rush any thing.
