CALDER NEWS BULLETIN
- A collision occurred between an A380 and 787 airliner today. A severe thunderstorm took out the radar system in the airport after lightning fried many of the systems. The TCAS safety system on the airbus A380 warned of an impending collision, but the huge jet was slow to maneuver. It is still a mystery why the 787 did not maneuver, as everyone (210 crew and passengers) was killed when the plane crashed into the rolling plains near Terra. The aircraft completely disintegrated when it hit the ground. The Airbus struggled on, amazingly, with only partial aileron control and 2 engines destroyed until it crashed-landed near a small airport south of New L.A. 45 people were killed when the fuel, leaking from the ragged remains of engine 1, ignited and caused a fire. 100 others were injured. Pilot Dawn Adams was severely injured, suffering a concussion when her head slammed into the yoke. She is still in critical care at a medical center in New L.A. Copilot Arnold Goering suffered several shattered bones, minor internal bleeding, and a skull fracture.
