[BiT] - Blockintosh - Tom resigns from Blockintosh ; Quitting clans for awhile.

Author Topic: [BiT] - Blockintosh - Tom resigns from Blockintosh ; Quitting clans for awhile.  (Read 17958 times)

I have sad news to inform you all.

I've been actually been growing out of clans. I've been bored of them since day one of Blockintosh, and I realize it was a mistake. iEvent will never really come back, and I'm not planning on reviving it at all. If I were to return to clans, I would make a more general clan, not leaning on projects and all that non-sense.

This general clan could come out from 1 month to the opening of Blockoworld 2012 (Which was never, EVER a clan project. It was an idea from myself, and I'm keeping it that way.)

Now this means, what about my Blockland activity? I will start hosting freebuilds soon, hopefully sometime after Christmas.

If you are wondering, does Mack know about this? I mentioned that Mack and I agreed we had a kill switch on the clan, and I officially announed to him last night  that I will resign, and shut down the clan on Sunday.

Sunday @ 12AM.

This means tonight.

I enjoyed my 3 years with these people in iEvent/TomCorp/Blockintosh. We had good time and bad times. It's all good.

It's been a good time, and I really enjoyed that time with this clan. It's been growing old since day 1. I also believe this is the longest running computer clans since the bloom of them in v9.

For all those who've been on the clan since day 1: Stay hungry, stay foolish.

Going to lock the thread in 5 hours.

Blockintosh is an idea.

Blockintosh is an idea, started in 2008, when an organization under the name of MicroBlock began production. MackTheHunter, the now Chairman of Blockintosh, was in love with the idea of building personal computers within Blockland. Upon starting to use the desktop PC he received from MicroBlock, he found the design was large, too clunky, and the interface was unreliable and he became annoyed.

An idea sparked. Why not start a company that focuses on the simplicity of a computer and provides easy-to-use systems for an everyday Blockland player?

Blockintosh was born. Based off of Apple Inc, Blockintosh provided simple, stylish computers that had multiple uses, a web browser, a game player, you could play music, you could even make music. Blockintosh ran clean for about year until MackTheHunter resigned from the clan and gave the CEO position to his wingman, Straton. Straton slowly became too stressed with the clan and decided to give the rights for the entire clan to another, more managed clan, known as Architects of Blockland, who set the clan as a side-clan of it's own. Blockintosh slowly faded into obscurity. Eventually everyone left the building, and the clan was left vacant.

Until today. Blockintosh is now back in business, with MackTheHunter back in control, and TomTheGeek as the CEO. The clan, hopefully, will be running fresh for as long as possible. We've returned, and we won't be leaving any time soon. Welcome back.

The KiNT is an innovation that will change the way that users play Blockland. With the ability to play crystal-clear, smooth CD quality songs, the ability to view screenshots, play minigames within the device, and even load brick macros from your own database so you can keep your own constructions wherever you go.

The KiNT will be both client-sided and server-sided. The client will be able to play music, games, load macros, all of the features, but in a server where the KiNT is not installed, the 3D model of the KiNT will not exist. If the server has the KiNT installed, users will also be able to unplug your headphones and play music out loud for other users to hear.

The KiNT will allow almost infinite possibilities with Music in Blockland. The way users listen to Music will be changed forever. Blockintosh plans to release the bPod in the next year.

Joining is just like joining most clans. You apply by going on to the server, building something under our guidelines, and we will determine if the application is good or not. Below this is our guidelines for each department:

Beautiful layout!

Also, could you please add me to the member list under the construction team? I don't know if you remember, but you accepted my application about a week and a half ago. Thanks.

Yes I do, I've been VERY busy lately. Thankfully I will be able to come home at the time I was supposed to come, which is 6PM CST.

Fridays I am off, but due to my family, I have to miss school on friday. I'll have time to read and add you then.

Hurray for BiT: Macs without the slow performance

I was thinking of making a equivalent of the MacBook Pro. Won't know when I'll actually be bothered to do so, though.

We will have a modding division in BiT, first in months after iEvent shut their's down.

What happened?

Sweet! I've always been interested in Blockland Computers, as Eventing is all I like to do! What do I need to do to sign up? I see what it says, but will there be something required or can I just...

In-game: Racerboy
BL_ID: 25064
Best Skill: Eventing

Edit: Here is my Application, I made it for my current project, The Arcade/Casino RP.

Air Hockey

First off, you need 2 players to play properly. To start the game, press both ! buttons. This will start the Pong from the center. Protect your own goal and attempt to score on your opponent by using the ^ buttons to move your Stick back and forth. Click the ? button for full instructions. This game has a total of 118 Lines of Events. Also I'd like to see if you guys have any questions/comments/suggestions on it!

Requires:
Wedge Bricks
MessageBoxOK
Octagonal Rounds
JVS Key
VCE

True.

Blockintosh provided simple, stylish computers that had multiple uses, a web browser, a game player, you could play music, you could even make music. Blockintosh ran clean for about year

What
Mack released one computer that looked like love but didn't do a huge amount more apart from that short midi maker thing, then he abandoned his second build and never build anything again.
