Terrain bricks - serious rendering problem [FIXED]

Author Topic: Terrain bricks - serious rendering problem [FIXED]  (Read 2566 times)

Okay, random users on blockland seem to have problems with rendering the UV COORDS on my terrain bricks, I got pics from most of them

- Phantom Knight

- Eksi (tested on his own server)

- Jirue

- Owl

as you can see, it only works for Masterlegodude (the one that created the brick icons, and Owl

can someone explain to me what the hell is going on?

heres the file if anyone else would like to test it themselves

I really hope someone knows how to fix this.  Honestly, Siba's terrain bricks are significantly better than Ghost's.  Ghost's just don't feel default enough, Siba's do.  (Siba also doesn't worry about branding his mods with his name like ghost does.. putting GSF on loving everything)

oh crap, should this have gone in help? I can't really tell

I get it too. Weird.

Jirue, what video card do you have?

Ghost's just don't feel default enough, Siba's do.
That's because his are prints and he should feel bad

It has something to do with the way you creating your vertices, Im messing around with it :)

Huh, these worked fine for me on your server.

Try the zip attached, the UV Cords are fixed and the normals are adjusted because the bricks are not perfect cubes. the textures also should line up as far as shading is concerned.

Melting plastic's fix works for me! :D

How did you do this?

and why would it only work randomly for certain users?

it worked for me without the fix

Im not quite sure why it was working for only some user :|, but i just redid the slopes quads in a clockwise fashion, making sure that 2 of the vertices had the same uv cords.
