Author Topic: NES Colorset  (Read 5731 times)

A selection of 47 colors from the Nintendo Entertainment System's built-in color palette, plus 13 transparent colors based on the aforementioned.  Great for 8-bit pixel art, but not very compatible with default colorset builds.

Also works really nicely for ponies.

This add-on is part of the Blockland Entertainment System.  More add-ons from this series:
NES Game Block Prints
NES Game Sound Effects

Also try this other great colorset from Plastiware!

It's true that they are the same, but it's also true that this one's indeed more organized.
So...

Funny how I was trying to set up an old NES yesterday, and this pops up.

Ikr :D

Calm down, he's only saying it works nicely for the things he makes.
The fact that it's ponies has nothing do with it.

Can you make a mega drive colorset?

my uncle's NES still goes well. but it crashes a lot

On other news, i like it!!

Well said.  I only mentioned ponies once and in extremely tiny print.  No need to start a stuffstorm over what's basically an easter egg.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive for Brits) has a limited palette.  Sure the in-game backgrounds and sprites have limited palettes, but I don't think there's any limit to what colors you can use in them.

Updated the OP to advertise my new print and sound packs and my other colorset.

It's the NES's colors... he can't or else it wouldn't be an NES colorset.
