Okay, so, I've got a bit of a discussion topic here along with a quick snap;

Hello, it's my face!
I used my Canon EOS 60D to take it, and a 24-85mm lens... Plus a whole bunch of custom settings etc etc
But more importantly, what is the line between a "Selfie" and Self-Portrait? I was actually really curious about this, when it came to editing this photo. Is a Selfie just a quick snap with friends, or can there be actual artistic input? Is a self-portrait a fancy form of selfie, or just a case of same medium, different mode?

Personally, I think there's a discernible difference, but the lines are a bit blurred when it comes to photography. If I were to paint myself, it'd be considered artistic and interesting. However, in the above photo I've not only gone through and edited it but applied some basic framing technique alongside a macro styled focus.

But is it actual photography, or just a simple selfie?
