Author Topic: Speedometer / Cruise Control  (Read 10700 times)

A client-sided speedometer much like the one you might find in any given vehicle on the road.

There are two keybinds, one to show/hide the speedometer itself and another to activate Cruise Control.
Speedometer: Comes with a nice backdrop and a needle drawn in realtime to show exactly what your speed is!

Cruise Control: Activate this, and it'll automatically accelerate or decelerate whatever vehicle you're in to stay at a constant speed. It's even smart enough to reverse the controls if you want to go backwards for whatever reason. It will also automatically disengage if you hit either the forward or backward movement keys, so you don't have to worry about fighting the cruise control in a split-second situation!

Demonstration of both functions

V2:
  • Fixed a potential infinite loop glitch
  • Made the Speedometer persistent across lives but not servers

V3:
  • The speedometer now moves to not obstruct the default menus

V5:
  • Fixed the Speedometer bind not showing up
  • Discovered that there is no V4

This can never be good without an engine change.

What?

Xalos can't change the engine to make this smooth.

Do you have old speedometer?

Had....replaced file with this one.

I wonder what the fastest possible speed in Blockland is...

200 TU or 400 studs per second.

The speedometer caps at 275 studs per second because 400 ends up reading as something like 35.

with classic gui? I saw BSP something like that, it was around v8

If you can make digital Speedometer with nice colorful choose.

it was circular and had a useless button on it, used 2 stacked colons to clock speed.
