You clearly don't know how this works.

Everytime you try to change your name it sends a request to the master server.
If you made a bot that constantly spams requests to the master server asking for the name Badspot will deactivate your key.

and he's going to sell it. he must set his name back to something so that someone else can get it. in those seconds, anyone can get the name. thus the buyer might not get the name.
