Absolute monarchy may have been a better phrase.
don't really get why that matters to three crowns but w/e

Atenisia publicly claims that it WILL indeed take action against Marivus.

"Isn't it the Christian way to not fight until necessary, brothers?

Isn't it true that Jesus fought for peace and prosperity for all of the Children of God?

Isn't it true that Jesus died for our sins?

We will take action against the dictatorship we call Marivus, and install a true Christian government, but we cannot do this with inner fighting. We cannot be of the Christian faith if we fight each other." The King states this, hoping to remind his citizens that he did not take action until the absolute necessary. He also notes that he was told by God himself that the Marivus assault were to happen in the months to come, and not now, as disaster were to happen if rushed....

This calms some of the people, but at this point the revolution is well under way.  Several clerics accuse the King of blasphemy and consorting with spirit mediums and claim that God spoke to Kings through prophets, rarely directly.  Some cite that Christ overturned the tables of the money changers, and that Atensia has failed to do so with Marivus.  As a whole, the mobs are thirsty for the immediate shedding of the blood of the dictator.  The crowds also call for making West Albiton pay for leaving the true path of the Cassian faith.

In the West of Atensia, a group of clerics put together a constitution for the New Cassian State of Atensia, a theocratic oligarchy with the goal of making the entire world wholly Cassian, by force if needed.  The constitution also calls for intervening on behalf of true Cassians (Marivus's revolution, as it is considered a grab for power by the dictator, is not true Cassian, but an evil sect) everywhere and the reunification of the Albitons.  All told, about 2/3 of the population is calling for this (but not necessarily the total removal of the King from power) while the other third, mostly upper or upper middle class people living in the East with a stake in the government, thinks that the rest are crazy and supports the King wholeheartedly.

In the capitol, a group of soldiers attempts to assassinate the King, but is stopped by his bodyguards.  Upon their failure, they slit their throats or quickly take some poison.  Their bodies are found to be tatooed all over with crosses and other religious symbols.

Atenisia seems a tad bit worried considering the King was almost killed, and calls for the Holy Order to help.

Rustuffe traders (while primarily from Teijina and thusly not devotely Baoist), are advised to avoid Atensian ports given recent religious unrest and potential harm to those who do not identify as what is seen as an extremely violent foreign religion.

There are no longer supplies of calamari reaching Atensia, however this has allowed for the shipment of the delicacy to other nations instead, such as Galaumia.

The Great Daun Sun Bao issues forth a call to all of those of Baoist faith or that simply wish to live in a freer society to vacate the cesspool of corruption and dishonor that is Orshkal before their King leads the country to destruction. Bands of troops situated along the northern Ru'sh Naal border facilitate the safe transportation of arriving refugees into newly established camps further into Rustuffe lands, it is promised that these people will be allowed to freely return home after the safety of their faith and right to representation is guaranteed by their leaders.

A portion of the  Ru'sh Naal navy forms a line along the middle of the Estic ocean, while the majority begins large coordinated formation exercises along the Werina western coast. The Arm of Bao participates in these training exercises in some of the first inter-operational training scenarios between the Arm and the main Rustuffe military.

Scholars at the Ru'sh Kai school of alchemy publish their "Distillations of Life" a medical journal detailing the cures and remedies for a thousand and one ailments from creams derived from plants to ease the pain of joints induced by cold weather, or jelly lozenges to aid a sore throat.

Also detailed are findings of common dangerous and toxic plants and minerals to be avoided due to their participatory test subjects tragically giving their life in the testing of them.

The Ezbatan Council grows more centralized, in order to better combat the growth of the Buddhist religion in Ezbátu, but by now, Buddhism already has a 68% stake in the region.  Already Buddhist states such as Gungixao and Ashibia angrily accuse the government of "Domestic Crimes."  This refers to the Zïtdist attacks on the Buddhist people, the vast majority of which are native Ezbatan by blood.

The Ezbatan Council goes further by cracking down on Buddhism by ceasing any new temples or other places of worship to be done.  The central government also overlooks smaller local governments such as individual townships who openly persecute, and kill Buddhists for their faith.

Having seen no hailed figure for three millennia, the Zïtdist order begins to break down naturally in this turn of events, but when out of the blue, news of a Hailed One having been born in a foreign land almost six centuries ago, a mix of obscure fascination, wonder, and extreme cynicism divides Zïtdist followers even further.  Some leave Ezbátu in search of the new Hailed One.

The New Council of Zesisoter convenes and establishes a new government, an oligarchy like before, but it requires only internal support, and external support is banned unless it is given for the council to administrate.  The fighting and disorder is quickly put down, and the state re-opens trade.

The Spice Road has been reopened.

Many Teijina merchants, sitting on piles of situationally worthless Rustuffe extravagances including silk gowns and carved stone work flood Zesisoter at extraordinarily low prices.

Many merchants disheartened at the lack of profit to be made, continue their travels past Zesioster into Ajakistan and Romicia bringing with them copies of the teachings of Bao. (and of course, calamari)

Rustuffe wandering alchemical Kai visit afflicted villages in Caprica in order to study potential effects of remedies to those whom would donate potentially their lives in the name of wisdom.
One of these doctors become afflicted with the plague they were trying to cure and returning Kai from the country are turned around before they are allowed to reach Rustuffe borders by local bands of Teijina Militia

This angers the Ru'sh Kai academy who demands that the city allow their doctors back home, insisting that proper precautions are being met to prevent the spread of plague into the homeland, and that most of the doctors never even come in contact with the afflicted.

The city claims that it is merely looking out for it's best interests, as the Ru'sha Academy has proven through example to be the only course of action.

Ru'sha City's parliamentary speaker calls for the disbandment of the Teijina local militia, however the notion in turned down as it is pointed out that the power to operate such a militia was within the rights of self-governance under the Confederacy.

The displaced Kai migrate to Galaumia and other nations and begin practicing medicine upon the local populace as city health consults and teaching their medical findings in town centers where available.

Guards do not stop the Kai.

The Rustuffe merchants achieve little success in this venture as either most are not really inclined to buy after the recent disaster.  Those that do buy belong most often to a growing prostitution industry, which has grown out of the economic disparity.  Because of this, it becomes a rather infamous product outside of this market.

With the economic vacuum that's formed, Orshkal seeks to strengthen its ties among its neighbors.  Ashkalya, having an economy and political sphere closely tied with Orshkal agrees to trade treaties and a military alliance.  Molenia's puppet government agrees to such things as well.  Dolvanam agrees to facilitate trade with Orshkal under the assurance of lowered protection fees.  The Siberian tribes agree to similar measures to a lesser degree.  Fearing that Ru'sh Naal plans to invade, Orshkal begins to rain its army and navy in joint exercises with Molenia and Ashkalya.

The Holy Nations step in to save the Ateni from themselves.  In Cassanoia, delegates from each nation pledge support for Atensia's king in crushing the rebellious zealots.  The Second Aspian Empire and Arcano are least happy to help, being farthest from the Ateni mobs and fairly radical people.  Sweisen, East Albiton, and Dirvash all agree to provide what support they can, although Dirvash is retaining a large number of troops to protect its border with Marivus.

The Galaumian family that one of the Rustuffe alchemists stayed with comes down with sores and a high fever.  After about a week of being bedridden they pull through.

The Avalonian Union begins to enact quarantine procedures requiring ships coming from any farther away than South Calzone or West Plexia to remain in isolation for a week before interacting with any Union holdings.

After centuries of working in close proximity and multiple political marriages spanning a few generations, the Avalonian Union wishes to incorporate Espul into its ranks and merge East and West Geran into one Geran.  The government of Espul will be allowed to keep full powers and all that, but just have the benefit of being part of the Strong Avalonian Union; Espul's King will get a seat on the Avalonian Council and his offspring receive preference in future admissions for five generations.

Rustuffe scout ships begin situating themselves within visible distance of Orshkal patrols, making sure to avoid any direct interaction with the ships.

After claims of how the merchants of Teijina have shamed the glorious image of the people of Bao, the Wereuan Speaker requests that the Ru'sh Naal parliament moves to increase taxation on the Teijina merchants. The measure is split but eventually passes, however as most transactions occur outside of Rustuffe territories, a frequently goods are reported to been "lost" by the merchants when questioned about their profits.

The Teijina ports reopen independently from the rest of the Ru'sh Naal state ports and begin to launch ships carrying new and exciting Rustuffe luxuries south.

There is a motion to tax further the ports of the city, however the Teijina speaker points out that as the trade of the ports is benefiting the state, their use should be categorized as a state commodity. The parliament reaches a stalemate over the issue, and eventually the motion is dropped.

The annual festival commemorating the History of Bao is accented by a marvelous performance by trained Weruan and Mahowaeaen Martial artists utilizing various feats of visual dramaticism including the signature purple flame of Bao and a dramatic display featuring flaming kites.

Attendees of the festival feel a surge of national pride and faith in their leader Bao.

At the end of the ceremony, the Great Bao gives a speech about the importance of of unity of faith and how it is the duty of the nation to ensure that the Doctrine of Bao, which ensures the fair treatment of every living thing, be available to all who desire it and that it is important that those who attempt to oppress the people be taken to justice.

The Galaumian family that one of the Rustuffe alchemists stayed with comes down with sores and a high fever.  After about a week of being bedridden they pull through.
EBOLA!!!
jk
Since they pull through, no one in the Assembly or Monarchy pays a mind to it.

In other news, after the king hosted an Avalonian envoy, they have come to the conclusion that Galaumia and Avalonia should have an alliance.

Random Events No. 16
Espovon:  With the happenings in Atensia going on, Ateni on the island North of Espovon begin to identify less with Ateni on the mainland, and more with people in Espovon.  The island declares its independence while mainland Atensia is too busy to do anything about it and attempts to ally itself with Espovon.  (POL:  90%)

HELL-O

yes the king welcomes the populace to ally with the empire, as they already contribute to trade in the north.

as tensions rise in Atensia trades slowly begin to decrease coming into the country, not completely but reduced quantities of product.

Rustuffe merchants reach Espovon markets with silk clothes, fanciful stone works, fishes, and newly cultivated local foods and spices that were recently found to be one of the reasons supposedly behind the strong health of the rustuffe nation, gingers, leeks, garlics, and other things.

Various traders become annoyed at jokes consisting the punch line "cause their ship was full of leeks".

The next day, mysteriously, all Rustuffe cargo sunk into the harbor.
