Of course he's trying to play it all up like he's some kind of badass rebel and that this is all just a game to him. He doesn't want to acknowledge any consequences for any of these proposed "sides", and he thinks that once he gets bored, he can go back to his normal life and that'll be that until he decides to come back and find us all afraid of the "glorious master-hacker".
