Author Topic: .MP3 Exporting problem (Audacity)  (Read 3293 times)

So i want to export .WAV sounds as .MP3. I have the tools to do it and i am able to do so, however when i export the sound as .MP3 there's a .071 second delay or gap between the start of the track and the sound itself. I tried cutting the gap and exporting but it just came back. How do i fix this and or why is this happening?

ID3/metadata information is stored there, you can't remove it.
OGG allows for gapless files, use that.

sorry dumb

It's a flaw in the way that mp3s are decoded, definitely not what tbp said. Free and open source codecs like OGG and Opus (Opus is a particularly good codec, but you can't use it for blockland unfortunately) do not have this issue by default.
