I've seen an almost exact replica of one of the CS:GO maps. Blocky weapons don't always fit.

But thats only your opinion. Its obvious that there are plenty of people that either dont care or actually like a more realistic looking pack, because plenty of people have taken interest, downloaded and even talked about packs focusing on realism.

i mean just take Gravity Cat's old weapons from back in 2010 for an example, There were alot of people that wanted their hands on those weapons.

Or stratofortress's vehicles. They are in no way "Blocky" or kept simple, and LOADS of people love them
