Author Topic: Colorshift issues [MS3D]  (Read 725 times)

None of my models processed through MS3D are able to be colorshifted in any way. Is there a certain property I have to give to the textures, like an Additive/Subtractive value upon export?

Do I have to give the groups a special name?

Somebody with experience in this field, please assist me.

Textures need to have some degree of transparency to enable colourshifting.

If you texture it with a blank texture, then you get the "pure" colour without any tint. Using a black texture with some sort of transparency makes the colour darker, whereas a transparent white texture makes it lighter. For colourshifting, no transparency flags (additive/subtractive) must be set, or else the texture part ends up looking like glass.

Ah alright. So the actual .png texture needs to have alpha in it? Gotcha. Thank you for the helpful response
