Avalonia protests the current NCO proposal, citing its own form of debt slavery as neither barbaric nor inhumane.  Avalonia also questions whether an organization dedicated mainly to internal cohesion in trade and diplomacy has a legitimate claim on the authority to try to enact social change in the world, particularly the world outside the NCO.  It also views the penalty for slavery as unnecessarily steep, effectively an embargo.

Avalonia suggests grandfathering in its own long standing and humanitarian form of debt slavery, and encouraging non-slavery outsider nations to effectively embargo slave nations, rather than doing it directly, or at least making the tariffs more reasonable.
No slavery is humane, and grandfatherimg treaties just makes them feel weak.

However, Wienza feels that at automatic 12% tariff on slave nations plus another 24% for slave goods would only serve to damage our economies. Perhaps we should cancel the former tariff requirement and reduce the latter? Wienza currently would not support the resolution but would if such a change is made.

Avalonia, at its national convention officially band chattel slavery, a practice long out of use in Avalonia, but still technically legal.  Still legal, however, is debt servitude, whereby a debtor may make payment in whole or in part in the form of servitude for a given period extending no longer than one year.  The debtee in such a situation does not have the right to mistreat the debtor, and must provide adequate room and board for the debtor.  Debt may not be passed on generation to generation.
This is more humane than comrade Sanders has many believing regular labor is like, and it ensures that value is repaid on debts.

The civil war concludes. New Romekate rises from the ashes, and centralizes the realm into a single state.
Territory developed in the civil war is annexed into the realm, and as a result connecting the four counties.
this means that romek-inen, east sunyong and sonodine are no longer separate entities beyond geographic terms
As a result of this war, however, the Inensi and Romek provinces are split into their own counties.
The annexed territories are reformed into their own county. Its regional capital is deemed Frisfären.
Both have no autonomy, of course. It is simply titular bureaucracy.

Slavery is abolished, though non-hereditary indentured servitude can be issued in court against someone severely in debt,
should the defendant fail to give just reasoning for their lack of payment. They are not slaves,
however, and thus have all of the rights of a normal man - not including those referring to work.
The economy is reformed, encouraging business rivalry and discouraging monopolies. It is largely kept free, however.
Work begins on restoring farmland and irrigating river water to its maximum usefulness for the sake of new farmland entirely.
Impoverished citizens of the western territories are granted immunity to indentured servitude, unless they sign on their own behalf.

Most ex-loyalist officials are deposed. Most of the deposed loyalists are banished or executed.
Those who are not deposed are generally those who were pressured into siding with Romek-Inen.
 Urist is publicly beheaded.
The country is made into a a constitutional monarchy, however the monarch still maintains most power.
Romekati Junkers are generally the cabinet majority.

The state religion is Borchist Christianity.
However, there are no legal repercussions for having differing beliefs.
Unless you're Muslim. Muslims have to pay a tax.

Scotian great writer, Adam Fergosun, publishes an essay on the history of civil society, called "The Modern Society"

The essay begins by generalizing human nature, and then goes on to discuss the history of rude nations and the history of policy and arts another chapter of the essay focuses on the decline of nations and then the last on corruption and slavery

Adam Fergosun is sympathetic to the traditional ways of Scotian clan societies for being courages and loyal. He is very negative towards commercial societies making men weak and selfish, unconcerned about the bigger picture, aka the community as a whole
