edit: Sounds like a good idea, but you need to make it more interesting then plain mining.  I suggest making it competitive such as having two teams or something.

Well you haven't played Rock Raiders before, but its not going to be easy. Hopefully if all goes well we could up adding the Rock Monsters.

I haven't played the game, but I have a set or two and I know the story (Ice rock thingies are my favorite).  The thing is that in the game, it is you trying to mine as much as you can and stuff.  But in this, it sounds like it will be the same thing, but multi-player.  The problem comes when you don't add/change anything from the transition.  It may be fun to spend along time making a private mine on single player, but something needs to be changed to make it so people really work as a team.  With blockland, a couple good players may be working together to make a big mine, but you'll have twice as many idiots running around digging holes in the middle of the path because they lack a clear and competative goal.

No different from any mod/server, Ploads prison escape is a good example, you get n00bs running off and going on suicide missions by them selfs. How ever with RRM you can randomly mine but still help each other out with the total ore collected.

Also, the caves are not built out of bricks, I should of said this earlier, the idea of this was to make allot of large levels and make it like a real time co-op game where once the group has competed the objective the server changes to the next level then on and on. Also the game involves loads of vehicles/mining equipment and in this mod I'm going to force people to save ore and crystals to buy things like flying vehicles to get to higher parts of the cave that you need these vehicles for.

So its not just mining random rocks and that's it, it has allot more to it and you gain new things.
