Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 5716466 times)

playin with that spice of life mod that makes it so you have to eat with variety

i loving hunted down every last god damn seed I could find before I even had a proper house

oh wow
so many different crops

woo finally
I've missed player collision

I've always expected to not be able to run through mobs because of alpha
and that also brought possibilities of a stack of mobs (chickens might work now?), walking into them, and getting launched

So are there any BL servers running?

I think stufflord might be running an FTB Trident server, but I don't think there's a vanilla server running right now.

wait player collision was removed?

never noticed

never noticed
pretty sure it got removed going into beta
you used to not be able to walk through other players/mobs easily, it would push both colliding things back a bit
by removed, they mean only the non-player is moved

it got removed sometime after 1.2.5

New Snapshot!
Major changes introduced in 15w36a:
-Armor has been rebalanced. Its degradation probably isn't as bad, hopefully.
-Enchantments now match armor's new effects.
-Mob AI was (at least partially) debugged. Among other changes, Endermen are supposed to be creepier.
-Player Collision has been re-implemented, with team-based options for going through other players.
-Dinnerbone likes hugs!

There's probably some other stuff in the snapshot, but the wiki hasn't made an in-depth article on its changes. Also, this snapshot is (supposedly) very unstable; back up your worlds before installing.

EDIT: Armor degradation has been taken out due to brokenness.
