making maps

i really would like to make maps (blockland) but i dont know how to go about it. is there any tutorials out there or can someone tell me?

Now I pretty much know how to make maps and I'm going to tell you haw I learned. Mess with pre existing maps in editor until you figure it out. That's what I did.
