The paint idea wont work. If you make a custom slot it will save as the slot not the color. If you made a build and made a custom green and painted the whole build that color then later changed that slots color to custom red, the build will turn custom red.

I think the update is coming out next week end by the looks of it.

yes, he went on alot of servers to test it, and he already told us that feature is in there.

List of Changes:

    * Setting $Pref::Server::BrickPublicDomainTimeout = -1; now disables public domain bricks entirely
    * Painting bricks now requires full trust
    * Fixed trust/Minigame error messages when attempting to ride unridable vehicles
    * Fixed demo recording/playback looking in the wrong directory sometimes
    * Mission lighting files included with full download
    * Fixed jetting through ceilings bug
    * Added "Download Sounds" checkbox in network options (default is OFF)
    * Fixed file download progress bar alternating values strangely
    * Fixed dedicated server loading scripts from the add-ons/client directory
    * Fixed music files with "-" in their filename breaking the music list
    * Fixed dropped items not being part of their minigame
    * Player names no longer show through water
    * /ResetVehicles command added for admins (respawns all vehicles in the map)
    * Vehicle velocity capped to prevent server crashing
    * Fixed brick count increasing erroneously when bricks fail to load
    * Optimized window brick (Detailed City Build performance improved ~23%)
    * Chat size preview added to options dialog
    * Chat Line time added to advanced options
    * $Timescale varaible no longer accessible from console. Use /timescale 0.5 in the chat instead.


Changes to the default settings (will not effect current users):

    * Default chat line time increased from 4 to 6.5 seconds
    * Default display size is now 800x600x32bit fullscreen
    * Default screenshot mode set to jpg


Changes that affect add-ons:

    * Stereo sounds will no longer load as music files or even play in 3D. You should be using mono sounds.
    * Fixed AI players not being able to ride player-based vehicles
    * Added getPixelColor(x,y) function to guiBitmapControls
