No, it uses radar and directs missiles to the enemy rocket. What's so hard to understand?

and well its not a flawless superweapon or something. its pretty hard to hit a missile with another missile, even if the trajectory is known entirely beforehand, due to the timing required. having live radar helps but i don't think it will really fix anything.
