To celebrate today I played Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout on the nes with my grillfriend.

Not a good game, but at least it is appropriately themed.

After which we played double dragon 2 which is a much better game.

Do you like Bugs Bunny: Birthday Blowout?

The earlier Loony Tunes games were a little too NES-hard for my taste. But when Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout came out in '90, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole game has a clear, crisp chiptune soundtrack, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the levels a big boost. It's been compared to Super Mario, but I think Bugs has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
