The voice of Steve and many others for one of my personal favorite animation channels died today(?). I don't know what the forget is going on, but if whatever higher power is out there could stop killing YouTubers, that'd be loving fantastic.

... there are arguments and concerns from other participants who disputes that Lesbian, Gay, Transgendered Women members may probably have some unfair advantage.

Quote
1) Each team will be allowed to have a maximum of one (1) Gay/Transgendered woman for the entirety of the tournament day.   Therefore, teams cannot do the following: Team_A's first game will be 4 female members and 1 gay, then on Team_A's second game, they will have 4 female members and replace with another gay or transgender member.
2) Any team who has violated the above provision, regardless if intentional or otherwise, whether discovered during the day of the event or some time after, will have all their team members (the female members as well as the Lesbian, Gay, Transgendered women member) sanctioned with a 1-year ban on all Garena-organized events, including subsequent Iron Solari Tournament.

Games / loving Fantastic Real-Time Strategy Game: Grey Goo
« on: January 22, 2015, 10:34:53 PM »

http://store.steampowered.com/app/290790/

From the Steam page:
Quote
FIGHT THE CHAOS. OR HARNESS ITS POWER.
Centuries after Humanity first left Earth, all forms of life in the Milky Way have evolved toward an inward tranquility. But there has been a mutation. A mysterious organism barrels toward the surface of a lone, resource-rich planet known as Ecosystem 9, on a mission to consume all it encounters.

Grey Goo is a real-time strategy (RTS) game that combines classic strategy mechanics and a balanced combat system with an emphasis on large-scale decision-making. It puts you at the center of a tactical struggle for survival—and ultimately, control of Ecosystem 9.

Command one of three unique factions: the Humans, masters of defensive architecture; the Beta, a proud, versatile alien race; or the Goo, an enigmatic, highly mobile life form. Fight from behind massive walls, attack from strategic outposts, or swallow your enemies whole. Just remember, the choices you make on the battlefield will mean the difference between glorious victory and agonizing defeat.
Features
Find the faction that fits your play style—and master it by taking on the AI or the Grey Goo community.
Experience the conflict on Ecosystem 9 up close and personal in the single-player campaign.
Join the fray on Steam and find opponents through skill-based matchmaking.
Change the rules of the battlefield with unit-altering tech upgrades.
Deliver devastating blows by constructing game-ending Epic units.
Take the battle offline via Local Area Network play.
Create your own battlefields with the Grey Goo map editor and share them with the community via Steam Workshop.

Essentially a little back story into the name, the grey goo end of the world scenario is where nano-bots built for a purpose like say cleaning up oil spills, go rogue and forget humanity up. The idea is that nano-bots could consume stufftons of material and replicate on an exponential scale so that they'd eventually strip the planet bare, possibly moving on to space or whatever after that.

Good news people, in the future, we'll be able to lose our dominant hand and still use the computer! :)

Off Topic / Oasis needs a new phone
« on: November 06, 2014, 05:59:16 PM »

Look at dat professional paint.net job.

So, I've had an iPhone 4S for 3 probably bordering on 4 years now, and while the whole Apple experience was fun, and I've built up a game and music library that I'll obviously miss, I need to move on. The first smartphone I owned was a Droid Eris, (look it up, seriously), and while that was probably the single stufftiest technological experience I've had in my adolescence, I want to try android again, as it has seemingly matured to surpass even iOS in productivity, (which honestly, is that really hard?).

Anyways, I'll be on contract for the standard 2 years, and what I'm looking for in a smartphone is 4G LTE, a camera that is worth a stuff, not beast processing power, but no low-end stuff, and a battery that could last maybe two days while not under load for the majority of that duration. I've found that the Moto X is pretty appealing, the customizable stuff is cool. But I need the forums' collective experience to tell me which android phone is the best for everyday use.

The Moto X I customized:

It's a 32 GB, so $150 with a contract. I'm still looking around though, and there's no real rush. So discuss some androids people. :)

Off Topic / Hardcore - First-Person-Shooter Movie
« on: November 03, 2014, 10:53:29 PM »

http://sploid.gizmodo.com/movie-filmed-to-look-like-a-first-person-shooter-game-l-1654319910/+caseychan

Surprisingly, this looks kinda cool. In the article they show the set up that they used to get the perspective, which is like a two lens/Gopro jaw camera, and although through all the stunts its kinda jittery, the overall idea seems like it'd be interesting to see at least one movie in.

Thoughts?
