Sucks that the superior cancelled XBLA remaster will never see the light of day officially it seems. Thank god it leaked at least and there's also a fan decompilation project that's been underway for a little while.

Regardless still it's a big deal to see it release at all, I'd imagine dumb contractual stuff is why they aren't using the XBLA game. I wonder how long they signed off for too (It's licensed it won't last forever and companies are rarely forward thinking when it comes to this stuff) and how many years it'll be until it inevitably get's stripped from the N64 NSO library.

i thought tricolor would be 4v4v4, which woudda been awesome

it wasn't, which was lame
though, scissors already lost a lot just doing 4v2v2, so shrug
Honestly 4v4v4 would be even more ridiculously unbalanced anyway. Scissors already got their ass pounded by having 4 opponents, they'd get absolutely eviscerated with 8.

Damn

I wasn't there to truly experience the map era of BL (outside of the demo ver. anyway), but I still know how much of influential member he was to the community. Hope he's in a better place now.

I've always found it really weird to see Roblox as popular as it is now. Like I always expected it to stay decently active, but never reach huge mainstream heights like it has nowadays.

can you homebrew the switch? i havent looked into it
As far as I'm aware the main method is hardware specific to 2017/2018 models only unless something in the scene changed. It involves exploiting a recovery feature of the Tegra hardware by shorting out a specific pin on the Joy-Con rail with a paper clip. This prompt the system to think something is wrong and it boots up into this mode which opens it up for homebrew.

Personally I wouldn't do it tbh. The idea of risking my Nintendo account to a ban at all is too much for what its worth.

Also I still think a Steam Deck is much better option than a modded Switch. Better performance in third-party games (even against an Overclocked Switch obviously) and much better emulation like GC games at 100% speed and most likely Wii U emulation too.

This place/game is an enigma I swear. Obviously far past it's prime but also at the same time refuses to die.

Probably the best worst place on the internet I know (ok but for real tho the community for BL is actually pretty good overall, there's far worse out there).

I do wonder how much longer the clock has left. The fact that Badspot never brought back the site theme when it got reset years ago says a lot. It's clear he cares enough to run the servers and answer the occasional report, but not much beyond that.

remember the Steam Machine?

Yes and I always thought it was pretty dumb back then. Basically was just a prebuilt PC running on linux.

The Deck is different though, this a very good idea in my eyes. I travel a lot and having something that's more compact than my laptop w/ a longer battery life speaks to me. Unlike the already existing and more niche GPD Wins or Aya Neo, the Deck is pretty streamlined and still has a ton of grunt along with a surprisingly competitive pricetag. IIRC the Valve Index was very good so I think they'll be able to pull it off.

I was already thinking about picking up a GPD Win 3, but now I have my eyes set on this. $400-$650 is far much easier to swallow than $900-$1400.

The only caveat I see is that.. this thing is loving massive lmao. Actually the biggest handheld ever made and puts the Game Gear & Atari Lynx to shame in terms of size.

lets make our own game launcher for the whole 2/3 games we have!

everything now is a game launcher within a game launcher it won't be long until we reach layer 3 of inception
Because its not just for 2/3 games but the entirety of GOG of which is ran by CD Projekt. Also GOG Galaxy is meant as an optional frontend since being DRM-free is GOG's schtick. The game's available on Steam and EGS anyway.

Unless if it's something else that I'm not aware about.

is a 1070 good enough for this game
I have a 1060 6GB and I'm running the game at a stable 30 w/ low-ish settings at 80% of 1080p. Crowd density set to low which helps any possible framedips while driving. Despite being almost set to low, it still looks great tbh. You should be good with a 1070.

I'd be more worried about a CPU bottleneck though since the city aspect really hammers that and you don't want to get any annoying af stutters while driving.

the wikipedia page was basically just "advanced wars is a top-down strategy game made by this game dev and did you know that game xyz had this specific new mechanic that you don't know anything about?"
is it a gameboy game or a flash game or a board game or what
It's a turn-based military strategy game that debuted on the GBA and also had sequels on the DS, but nothing since. Advance Wars by Web (which is this) is basically just a fan-made recreation of the original game that you can play in your browser.

Game looks great tbh. I love the new art style they're using.

Genuinely confident that they'll be able to deliver a true game.

now supporting new motion sickness feature
If done properly you shouldn't get motion sick from VR. Any vehicle related stuff always fares a lot better as well anyway.
