Author Topic: I found a pretty weird forum  (Read 22773 times)

Can someone sum up this thread for me because this is very weird

some stufflords have replicated us with bots, the bots are posting malware, and the bots are "downloading" that malware and saying it's "great" and "works good". kind of like those youtube bots that post the "free psn codes" and "free steam card" links, like on markiplier's channel.
(IM NOT SAYING I WATCH MARKIPLIER, IM JUST USING HIM AS AN EXAMPLE.)

Tomorrow morning I'm gonna call to see what is going on with their site. The support line isn't open this late. I'll record it or something for you guys

I'm calling the support number right now to ask wtf is going on
record it, no matter how embarrassing it may be. make the video unlisted and post it here, or pm it to those who ask.

People are seriously underplaying how creepy this website is

I mean... why us??

because we are the best forum, obviously.

No but seriously, why us? Why did this guy/these guys pick our names to use to distribute malware?

you don't know blf's origins?
this place used to be topkek headquarters, but eons ago, it was shut down, and sold to badspot himself. legends say, that we, topkek headquarters, will be replicated by jealous non-kekker tekkers.

*Seemingly innocent phone book website hosts a secret forum
*All users are bots and you cannot register
*Users have the usernames of Blockland Forums members
*Bots speak to each other and post viruses
*Posts have secret messages inside them if you highlight
*Posts are dated to 2010 and the forum to 2007 but they have current usernames
*Site mysteriously goes offline after the forums investigates it

My theory:

I'm guessing some phonebook company sold spare hosting space on their domain, a devious mind purchases it and uploaded a fake bot forum with usernames obtained from a random real forum. Maybe so that they get more traffic? The posts have hidden messages so that they come up on search engines without looking suspicious. The users post viruses and the others thank them for it to coax visitors into downloading them. The dates are wrong because the owner couldn't be bothered to update? This is really creepy.
