i don't think so. civ div does youtube blogger stuff about his volunteer soldiery/mercenary work in Ukraine and for the Kurds. there's speculation he's a former blockland user, idk if i believe it.

edit: idk if CivDiv is legally a mercenary. He's a part of the UAF foreign legion so he's still technically a professional standing soldier, just for a country he's not native to.

i can agree that PMCs are dogstuff. but personally i see if you're joining a conflict for a reasonably righteous cause, such as in the case of fighting for the Kurds or the Ukrainians, you're not really on the same ground as PMCs. not in a similar vein but i myself thought about traveling to Ukraine for humanitarian causes. not fighting, but rebuilding or performing EMR work.

every voluntary soldier in the world should die immediately but especially the ones who do it for fun and/or youtube clout

gonna be real with you homie, this is a garbage take with not a lot of reality to back it up.
i understand the logic behind 'there shouldn't be any war', but there will always be war and people are going to fight for what they believe in, just or not.

not too long ago i was doing work at a warehouse installing charging stations for a robot that moves pallets around pallet shelves. these pallet shelves are probably 30 ft tall and span the size of like 4 football fields. the charging station is at the very top and we're required to 100% tie off meaning as long as we're up there our harness needs to be tied off to something at all times. we're supposed to use two harnesses and latch on one, move forward, latch on the next, go back, and latch off the other one. if you constantly have to move around this is extremely time consuming. do i do it? hell no. i would never get any work done. i just walk to the spot i wanna work to then tie off there.
this is the main problem people have with a lot of safety regulations. some of them are so damn time consuming that if you have a project that has a deadline you'll never get it done in time. as far as safety glasses and helmets and ear plugs go, yes you should wear them. that stuff is important.

this should have a rolling tie off point if it's an I-beam. that way you don't need two separate ties

i wear my hearing protection and gloves at all times when some chuckle forgets couldn't care less. idk how my coworkers don't wear ear plugs/muffs when coupling rail cars together. that sound is devastatingly loud.

you know, as an oldcigarette i'll say that when I recently voiced my opinion that greenlighting this game killed it, everyone in the server got pissed.

as if we didn't watch this game sell out what made it what it is, to become some abandoned game on steam all so he could rake in an extra chunk of change from newcomers.

if this game never got the excessive attention it did that made badspot feel like he could just give up on the game, i'm sure we'd still be vibing with cool maps, AND probably shaders. but no, he half assed it, cut the game in half, then left it to die. what a shame.

he probably would've abandon it much sooner if it didn't get on steam right away.
