This game is an RPG, and an FPS. But it's an RPG first. When I first bought it I didn't expect all of the RPG features and I was actually turned off of the game because of it's complexity, but I've recently given it another chance. Once I realized some things about it I decided it's one of my favorite games.
The story is extremely confusing, and sometimes a little bit dumb because it's so far fetched. It will take multiple playthroughs before you understand the story, and with random enemy spawnpoints, 8-10ish playstyles, and a boatload of weapons to choose from multiple playthroughs will be fun as hell.
and the gunplay is fantastic
