Remember that '89 toyota that I talked about here a few months back? Well my dad got it today and we pulled it to our house. Literally all that's wrong with it is it's missing the breather (the air filter and the tube), needs a new fuel pump, and a slight bit of wiring as well along with flushing out the gas tank.
When we got it to the house, all we had to do to get it started was tighten the starter (it was very loose), plug in the fan and pour water into the radiator, and pour gas into the carburetor. The damn thing started right up and ran ( only for a few seconds cause no fuel) and it ran
good. Not to mention the thing has been sitting for over 10 years, lmfao.
The windshield wipers work perfect (needs new ones tho), the washer fluid and sprayers work perfect, it shifts and the gas / brake / clutch works, (the clutch only needed to be flushed out, which we did by un-screwing the bleeder valve all the way off and pumping the clutch for like 5 minutes, now it works perfect), all we need now are new bulbs for the lights, getting the breather and fixing the un-plugged things in the engine bay, and just fixing the weird wiring issues and misc the thing has. Just a lot of pretty easy fixes for a 30 year old car with only 179k miles on it
Toyotas man, they're so loving reliable
The car looks like this, just the paint is sun-damaged all to hell and it hasn't been washed in 10 years, plus very slight rust around the edges
