Hey guys,

So I'm looking into getting done AntiVirus software for my laptop.  It came with a free trial of some odd crap, but that expired.  Is there anything free and online I can use?  What are your recommendations?

Wouldn't it be ironic if I got a virus while pirating AntiVirus software.. Lol

actually that happened to me don't get the one from sadeempc

So without pirating, does anyone offer a free AntiVirus program?  I thought I remembered a thread from a few years ago talking about a few free ones, but I couldn't find the thread I was looking for.

Avast?  Avira?  Are the free versions very good?

This is an EXTREME thirst!
not really i mean he is breaking the rule

malwarebytes is good if you like doing manual scans once in a while.
avast is also okay if you're into that real time scanner stuff.

avast and bitdefender are pretty alright

I basically use Avast to block stuff and then I scan with Malwarebytes if I think something might have gotten through

I personally use Vipre.  It isn't mentioned often but it is very high-end.

It's also as cheap as chips in the long run, since you only pay up to $50 or £40 per year.
