open source means nothing to you. people need to stop throwing this word around to justify sad clones of professional products. did you edit any of the code in the os? make your own drivers? fix a bug? customizing the theme doesnt require open source.
instead of attempting to bastardize the runtime of applications, just dont bother.
"hey let me complain how much windows sucks while i run a program on my linux that emulates windows programs"
you have no legit use for linux. youre just another hipster with a tin foil hat going around adding to the linux stereotype
I'm going to break down what you just said
> open source means nothing to you
except the fact that you get the assurance of thousands of the smartest programmers on this planet working almost around the clock (if you consider time zones) making the most secure but flexible operating system
> people need to stop throwing this word around to justify sad clones of professional products
As of February 2014, POSIX operating systems run almost 70% of the internet
"sad clones of professional products"

see my above statement
> customizing the theme doesn't require open source
you're right
but you can do it more and better when it is open source.

iirc almost everyone who played Blockland on Linux reported it ran shaders faster than if they did it on Windows.

the linux stereotype? what is that? not having malware?
