literally half of the people trained by the CIA go off to work for some evil organization. Whether it be the KGB, CIA or some other bullstuff, it always happens. What the US funds prior to their independent decision as adults to join terrorist groups doesn't at all mean correlation to funding the group in question. They just helped the members that went on to join this group.
