I think microbrick spam wouldn't have become the meta so quickly if there was a proper selection of rounds and etc. for people to use. There wasn't even poles in the game until recently, so naturally people found out they could just make their own poles and bypass the rest of the bricks while they're at it. They are also used to replace prints since those aren't in the game, so it's a very backwards evolution of building compared to what I've seen in Blockland.
I've tried building in Brickadia how I'm used to, but it inevitably devolves into having my hotbar have a single 0.2x0.2x0.2 microbrick that I resize into any other brick I want. There's no practical reason to use any of the other bricks from the menu. Eventually Brickadia will support prints and more bricks to work with, but I believe the introduction of microbricks (at least so early) was a detriment to the game.
