Okay but one question I really want to know is.

Would this  2.8GHz Dual Core  run games that need this 3GHz(not multicore)?

With ease.

Is this computer pretty good for 300 bucks?

Eww... 2GB of RAM was like so last year. 4 Is average now. 8 is good.
And it needs a new graphics card on top of that.

I would think 6 is plenty.

4 GB is still plenty for anyone nowadays.

Not bad considering its price. The gpu is still incredibly underpowered for the rest of the machine though.

How well would that, with more RAM, like, four, run minecraft?

One of my older systems runs minecraft on medium settings (fancy graphics, normal draw distance) with about 30fps.
Specs:
Athlon 2.2GHz (single core)
1GB RAM
nVidia GeForce 6200

It's got a better gpu, but worse cpu and ram.

After I let the environment load for about 2 minutes, I can run Minecraft at a good 30 FPS on my laptop on lowest settings. :D

Intel Celeron 2.2 Ghz processor
2 GB of RAM
Intel Integrated stuff. :o

Woo.

Tom

I CAN PLAY CRYSIS AT MAX SETTINGS!!!!!
