I think it should be a ray that constantly sets them to 90% of their current size.

I'm working on v2. I figured out how to make things gradually shrink, and I'm thinking I'll make it short range but fire a lot of projectiles, like the pyro gun.
Hopefully Bushido will start on the model soon. Don't hold your breath on a new model by v2.
I'll look for sounds too.
