Author Topic: Someone has my IP?  (Read 782 times)

Today, I had gotten on my dads computer, I logged on, and it said that someone else has my IP. So I thought, mabye it could be my computer because we both use the same router.

Is there any way to solve this?

It's nothing, it should go away.

er what
please rephrase the OP so people can understand it

you logged onto your dads computer
it said that someone else had your IP

what "said" it
a website? a specific program? what

internal IP? external IP?

then you say it could be your computer
you said it was your dad's computer though

One of your computers are set up with a static IP. (Stop having this set on a computer and it will work.)

reboot. unless they have the same static ip, at which point youd need to google how to change static ips.

Oh, if it's a dynamic IP just restart your computer but if it's static just google how to change an internal IP address

Unplug the ethernet cable

By the fact you took a video of your screen I can already tell your are not smart enough to listen to me.

(Or anyone else that posted suggestions.)

Unplug the ethernet cable
since my dads internet is wireless that wont help me much

All you said was "Stop having this set on a computer and it will work."

You didn't even tell him that he has to go to his router.

Reboot or turn wireless off, or unplug router.
