Author Topic: TAG's metric stuffton of trains [warning: train overload][literally 150mb of pic]  (Read 5005 times)

So I really like trains as some of you guys may know, it even says Engineer under my forum name.

LONG STORY ABOUT WHY AND WHAT AND SUCH
Anyways, I like to build trains. I really do. I love it in fact. I've made trains before Warning: contains badly made trains. But those were bad. Their badness was caused by 2 reasons. One: I was stuff at building stuff back then, and two: I used 8 wide trains. Now 8 wide is a lot better than the crap 6 studs some people use, but it's still horrbly small for blockhead scale, and it doesn't fit any detail whatsoever.

So my new, good trains have two advantages: I'm less stuff at building, and I went ahead and took a nice fat 11 studs for their width. The fact the width is odd makes centered details a lot better. Things like headlights and frames for the windshields.

Ok so I'm pretty passionate about trains, but not just any trains. Nono, Dutch trains. Other trains are fine too, but I just like my own countries train a little more. This makes it so most of the forgetton of trains below are Dutch. But to accomodate blockland's mainly American audience I threw in a couple of American trains too for good measure. There's even 2 British trains in there.

FREE BACKGROUNDS FOR MAKING IT THIS FAR

DON'T YOU GET ME STARTED ON HOW MANY BOATS AND PLANES I STILL HAVE TO FLOOD THIS GALLERY WITH

You may rate x/10. You may rate that as a whole or per train, up to you. I absolutely LOVE constructive criticism. I absolutely HATE heathens that use 6 or 8 wide trains.

DISCLAIMERS:
  • I don't know why British people like to make handicappedly ugly trains. Go ask them. I think I succeeded in remaking their profound uglyness in Blockland.
  • I don't like how the Mat'64 came out, but I'm limited to Blockland's grid so yeah forget

Thanks for reading my gallery thing.

This is what happens when you are really passionate at something and skilled enough in a creative way to convey that into a visible form, even if it's merely building after real trains and signs.
