I did $megashotScaleFactor = 2; and it made a 800x600 screenshot into a 1600x1200 screenshot!

Click the 'Forum Profile Information' option on the right of the screen, once you're on that page, click the 'Browse' button and choose any image, avatars can use the .jpg, .png and .gif file types, for a .png to keep transparency or a .gif to keep it's animation, you need to re-size it to 75x75 in pixels by using a program like GIMP or something
