General Discussion / Re: !!!Urgent!!!
« on: June 14, 2008, 09:02:17 PM »
Why is this urgent? Besides, there aren't many who will willfully sacrifice hard drive space and framerate for a few videos (unless it has a notable purpose).

I like it, would be nice if you could change the displayed timezone though, and maybe a few other more advanced things like detailed statistics and past or total history.

Help / Re: Quick question about particle downloading.
« on: June 14, 2008, 07:46:38 PM »
I'm in no ways knowledgeable about these things, but I do believe I have downloaded particles from servers before, and I think that they just put them in with the rest of the particles, not entirely sure though. If you want to get more help with this, one of the modification help forums might receive a larger response/amount of replys.

General Discussion / Re: How to know if you suck
« on: June 10, 2008, 02:05:51 PM »
I wonder if anyone would believe me if I said I could answer false to all the questions. Then again, I'm not particularly active on the forums, so that might have something to do with it. There's really no reason to ask for forgiveness around here, and rarely will someone do something bad/irritating enough to warrant it, usually a quick sorry is fine.

You did notice that this avatar collection is on the Blockland website right?

So how did this stuff get there? Is it just a library of all the uploaded avatars or something?

Edit: Heh, my old avatar animated image collection is there.

Lame suggestion ^^. This ranking list doesn't seem definitive, I'm a Sr. Member at 281 posts.

General Discussion / Re: Zor's fire fighter mod glitch
« on: June 06, 2008, 06:23:57 PM »
You could probably give yourself more bricks using the digging mod too, but I've never really tested the system since I have already bought the game. I doubt anyone will care much about your "discovery". Although now that you've revealed it, maybe the next version of Blockland will be a bit more hardened against things like this.

Help / Re: Manually installing add-ons
« on: June 06, 2008, 11:25:02 AM »
If you're using a mac, I have no idea, but for the most part it should be the same. Make sure that the add-ons folder from the file you downloaded goes into the Blockland directory. With a correct install you should end up with a .cs file in the Blockland\Add-ons directory and possibly some other files in folders like shapes\etc..

You'd be better off not listening to Roland, his method is needlessly complicated. First  off, I need to know what zip program you are using, the windows default acts like a folder in some ways, while a different program will open up and tell you what's what. You will only be able to unzip RAR files if you use a different zip program like WinZip.

Windows default zip method: Goto your blockland folder (usually C:\Program Files\Blockland) Open the zip file you downloaded, inside the add-on zip, you should find a folder named "add-ons". Drag and drop this folder to your blockland folder, it will then pop up with a dialog (screenshot below), press "Yes to All". This won't delete anything and should ensure a proper installation. Done.

WinZip Method:Open the zip file, press extract, goto your Blockland install folder (usually C:\Program files\Blockland) then press ok, if needed, check your settings with the screenshot below. Finished.

If you are installing a script only (a .cs file for example) just download the file directly to your Add-ons folder.

Games / Re: SW:BFII - I need help..

Get the ARC (I think, I haven't played in a while, regardless, he's the red guy with the chaingun) then shoot the Jedi that start attacking, simple as that, it's not that hard, but you may have to try it over a few times.

General Discussion / Re: Really bad city builds
« on: May 30, 2008, 02:12:43 PM »
The thing about city builds is that they allow people to all build at once without particularly interfering with anyone else. If anyone comes up with another idea that can be as expansive and free as city builds, maybe you will see a large portion of the people making these city build servers change over.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: The Wilhelm Scream:Sound FX
« on: May 30, 2008, 02:00:10 PM »
With all sounds, people will only hear them if they have download sounds turned on under network options. Ask a friend who doesn't have it to set the option and join your server to test.
