Are the $300 and $400 build suggestions on the OP up to date, and are they worth it?

Or should I wait and save up for a stronger build? Honestly I don't know much about this stuff, I just want a build that can run the things on my Steam and maybe a bit more.

Thanks.

I don't have a huge budget, just something strong enough to run most of those games well enough on high settings would be preferred. Except for Tomb Raider. Don't worry about that one.

Uhh, well your games for the most part really aren't that demanding. I would say that you're one of the few people that could be ok with a $400 build. However, for that amount of money you might as well get a laptop with an OS included and some programs like office and get a better value because of the portability

What is the best gpu to fit in this  build?
this case
this mobo
this psu
pretty much any gpu on the market. the case is big enough besides maybe like the r9 290x or the gtx 780 ti or gtx 690 or equivalent
the most important thing - whats your budget

Is the EVGA 780 Ti($769) Classified worth it over the Asus Direct CU II 780 ($520)?
Links to both of the cards:

Also will the price be going up for the classified (if so forget that) since I'm not getting it anytime soon?
gtx 780 and gtx 780 TI are 2 different cards.
the gtx 780 ti gets way better performance

Not on games

Alright sweet.

If I have a an amd card currently, what do I need to do to make the transition from that to the 660 as easy as possible?

gtx 780 and gtx 780 TI are 2 different cards.
the gtx 780 ti gets way better performance
How much better performance does it get (like tell me it in percentage) also will the classified be going up in price?

Look here to see a direct comparison of the two.

the TI is definitely worth it.

Oh that's awesome, also is there a big difference vs GTX 780 Ti vs GTX 780 Ti Classified (EVGA)?

no. dont ever do this. provide real game benchmarks and not some site which compares theoretical performance.

you are looking at over 20% fps increase from the 780 to 780 ti in 1920x1080 resolution
