also heres a zip with some useful stuff for windows not being ugly including a portable iso burner too
this has a rebuild icon cache, a portable iso burner (can literally be ran off your external hard drive) and a windows shortcut arrow editor, (to edit out the little shortcut arrows on icons so your shortcuts dont look like stuff Here

To me it looks like he did it for no reason at all.

Which means either he's just being a richard or theres some more context we're missing.
