Source 2 and a game running on it.
Also, this is starting to look a lot like the Steam logo or the Source logo.

Looks like a hidden prank to me.

Something is totally going to appear in the middle

And it looks a lot like a mix of Source and Steam logo..

I signed up to the beta with no problems at all, except I slightly cheated by using a Dualshock 3 and software which makes steam think it's an Xbox 360 controller
tee hee hee

Just watch, number 3 is gonna be HANDHELD steam OS boxes which can connect to and play with other steam OSes, like the Wii U gamepad + Wii U and the PS vita + PS4

O = Steam OS
[O ] = Steam Machine
O + O = I'm thinking something involving connection between systems, OS + OS

..So?

what if I don't have a gamepad

I tried using http://headsoft.com.au/index.php?category=vjoy and launching a controller-supported game (detected the gamepad and used it) but it didn't check the badge

The whole point of this is for people that have gamepads. You'll need one anyways for the steam machine.

yay

using the gamepad proves you can use your comp like a console lol.

why else would they even care to include you into the beta for their CONSOLE.

implying I wouldn't get one if I did indeed get a beta machine

gamepads are optional so it doesn't really matter

Am I going to be using a mouse and a keyboard in the living-room?
If you want. But Steam and SteamOS work well with gamepads, too. Stay tuned, though - we have some more to say very soon on the topic of input.

Yeah, but this is about the "beta" conditions
