Better Than Wolves :Good if you already have a world going that has plenty of materials since it does not require you to make a new world. If you are installing it with Industrial Craft i suggest getting the "Dynamo" add on that allows the conversion between Mechanical energy and Electricity.

Industrial Craft 2 and BuildCraft. Both work flawlessly together and both require a new world to acquire ores and oil. However there is no mod currently that allows the conversion between BC energy and IC2 Energy.
