i won't confront any white person for having dreadlocks, but i think it makes your hair look dirty, idk why

because in order to have dreads with straight hair, you have to backcomb it and backcombed straight hair looks like steel wool. afro-textured hair, the type of hair you want ideally for locking, is naturally curly and thick. also most white people who have dreads also have blondish or lighter hair than black people.

these guys made it popular though

because dreadlocks are maintained by not washing your hair lol

unless you're that exact type of person in the video who cries misandry when something doesn't go your way, this video is not targeting you. you're essentially choosing to get offended over something that has nothing to do with you, other than the fact that it's about a man. if that's your case then you kinda prove the video right.

even the description of the video makes it clear they're only referring to a certain group of people

The problem isn't that there are many people that will be upset, but rather that they are very vocal despite being a small minority of the black community.

dreadlocks were invented in greece, interestingly.

The ancient minoan people weren't white though, they were closer to middle eastern races and aryans

Also, white people generally dont have the correct hair volume/consistency for traditional locks. Straight hair makes very ugly, mop-looking locks. If you're white and you got very curly hair, you can make it work, otherwise dont try

Historically, Germanic, Gallic, and Celtic tribesmen occasionally wore their hair in dreadlocks.

But clearly pointing that out to people means you're disrespecting African identity and are tribal/s

there are only a select few out of the millions of black people in this country who will think this way. as for the rest, we just think it looks ugly on white people.

Its a free country, you do you. If you want dreads, go for it.
