Pikmin has to have the most weirdest bad ending possible

 I remember playing it as a kid and getting this ending because I sucked... I was freaking terrified.

Honestly this doesn't seem like much of a bad ending, I mean he kinda lives on within a pikmin, right?

From what I've gathered, the main character died from a fatal crash and the pikmin attempts to revive him but as a seed so his spirt lives on as a plant.

Yes, Nintendo showed him suffocating while his ship, S.S. Dolphin falls down in a crash from the sky. Also, this was in a kids game, so I don't get why that scene was nessessary.
