I know Nit made a script once that when you were crouching you'd be pushed down, so you could navigate in zero g.

You should have some DOF pictures of builds like the golden gate bridge with a subtitle of "Try building this in Lego Universe."

Just so you don't think I've disappeared off the edge of the earth, I'm busy today and probably vast majority of tomorrow so I doubt I'll be able to get on before Monday.  So please leave my current project in the server.

No problem Ghoul.

Someone should make a client-sided add-on that allows light to go through the transparent paint but not projectiles.
I'd be much easier for Badspot to simply change the parameters of the raycast to not include trans bricks, but since it's not that big off a deal there is little point in doing it.

Ghoul, try turning off raycasting on the glass, not positive but it might let the light through.

"We’re rolling out this feature to U.S. based Gmail users over the next few days, so you’ll be ready to get started once “Call Phones” shows up in your chat list"

After spending nearly a hour trying to figure out why this wouldn't work (including installing the voice plug-in several times) I notice that on the bottom of the google post.  I did get to talk to my cousin a bunch though, so it wasn't all a loss.

Can't wait till it does roll out for me though since I use google voice for texting all the time and would like to make and receive calls from it too.

QuakeCon
Not that I expect someone who lives on the west coast to know, but that's not in the midwest.  It's in the center, but I'm in the North (Minnesota) and that's in the South (Texas), so while it would be a shorter drive than Pax, it's still not an event which I could consider going to until I have a considerable cash flow.

I'm sure there are some smaller gaming events, probably in Chicago, but the majority of gaming events people talk about (e3, GDC, Pax) are all on the west coast.  Sure most of the developers are out there, but that doesn't mean most gamers are.

They need a stinking midwest gaming gathering...

Their fame was short lived, but that's pretty much a boss battle server.

Off Topic / Re: H1N1 Contained?
« on: August 10, 2010, 01:13:08 PM »
Heh, I got H1N1.  Went to the hospital only because it temporarily caused symptoms of the asthma I grew out of as a little kid to come back.

Also, explanation of why H1N1 looks really bad and potentially couldn't been bad, but wasn't:

Strains of Flu are masters of changing themselves.  This is why vaccines for only temporary.  They make vaccines for what they guess will be the major strains in the coming year.  However after some time those flu viruses will have changed too much for the old vaccines to be effective.

The reason H1N1 was so bad was because it was a type of flu which changed very rapidly.  This rapid mutation allowed it to become a very powerful form of flu within a population of pigs.  At some point, it mutated enough to jump into humans, probably at a pig farm.  At that point it was a very violent strain of flu which could effect humans, allowing it to spread quickly.  However the strain's strength of rapid mutation worked against itself.  As it spread and mutated, it came down from its peak of being a dangerous strain, and by the time it hit the majority of the population it was nothing more than a somewhat bad at most flu.

Bonus Fact: In terms of how rapidly they mutate, Hiv is like super flu.

did you guys hear why they had to change the name to H1n1?

it's cause when Nexon was president he said we will have a black president when pigs fly
Wrong.  They changed it because people are too stupid to realize that they can't get it from pigs.
