OPSkins is great. Just cashed out recently actually.

You can cash out to PayPal, it usually takes a few hours maybe a day or two but if you choose instant cash out they do it ASAP for a small percentage (5%??)
From there you can transfer paypal funds to your bank, or get a check in the mail.

If this was the plot of a book i would totally read it
Ever read Watchmen? It's a comic book but it's rather sophisticated with a lot of underlying themes and imagery. The Doomsday Clock is actually a major symbol throughout the book.

Some of the questions have been answered:
Has a wireless mouse, no keyboard (used a laptop).
Wants a decent monitor, doesn't care about the rest of the peripherals.
Does not have a transferable copy of Windows.
Laptop HDD appears to not be easily accessible, so a new HDD should work better.
Doesn't need an optical drive.

I wasn't directing my post at you if that's what you're responding to, but I'll take a shot at it.

I have a budget of $500 but I can stretch past it a little bit and I'm unsure of why you cant see any prices.

This is what I see
You already have the radeons correct?

I'm not sure how hard you really want this to be. Any overclocking in the forseeable future? This build here has a z170 and an i3, but it allows you to upgrade to the i5 6600k for overclockability. I also noticed your lack of storage so I'm assuming you don't really want a lot of space/already have a hard drive? Again, not really sure what you're expecting from this system. I've kept the case despite every bone in my body saying no, in the end of the day it is personal preference after all.

They're basically the same. Just ask yourself what you really want from this. Do you want one to upgrade later or something you'll be happy without touching longer?

Samsung 850. Its basically the standard for SSDs currently. But I don't think it will really solve your slow computer issue. What exactly is slow? General usage or games? Is it just when you say, copy and paste files? Install things? These differences can really mean the world when given such a broad statement.
Sounds very cool! I'll definitely start saving for one, thank you. Do you have any recommendations, or one's you've had good experiences with?

i quit csgo recently mainly because i can get a 10 win streak where i topscore and i still don't loving rank up
the problem i feel with csgo's ranking system is that it feels like there's little to no progression.
I have like 59 wins and i STILL haven't ranked up Once.
The goal of CSGO isn't to climb through the ranks, it's to get better.

You need to focus on self-improvement. That's what the game is about. The actual skill rank is just a side effect of that, that's the mindset you need. Rank doesn't matter. Learning the game is the important part.

does anyone here have the enthoo pro m? the manual has no loving direction how to install the front fans. the screws don't hold the fan in place. anyone can help?

i'm getting a loving fractal case next time
Are you using the proper screw? I don't own the Enthoo Pro M, but it seems like it supports 120 and 140mm fans in the front.

You need a screw that looks just like this, called an M5 screw if you have the bag laying around somewhere. It sort of creates it's own thread in the bars, securing it into place. The front is designed for a radiator for watercooling, which is likely why it's so weird. But it still works.

8
If you got it for $200 expect dead pixels
I can live with that and expected some corners to be cut. It's from a reputable brand (AOC) so I'm still not too concerned with the overall build quality.

after playing games with a 60hz monitor for years, trying a 120hz monitor makes 60 fps feel like 30 fps.
My 144Hz A-Sync monitor comes tomorrow, I'm so excited for it. Got the last one on amazon for only$200 too.

So I play CS:GO, I was wondering what will be the cheapest yet efficient parts that would give me a decent 150-200FPS at low settings.
What would be the minimum cost?
Even the iGPU in an i5 can run it at decent frame rate, they made CSGO as accessible as possible.

Here's a couple example builds, one using the iGPU, the other with a discrete card, for pretty cheap.

GTX 1050 TI BUILD

PCPartPicker part list

CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor  ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: MSI H110M ECO Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($58.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory  ($44.19 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($49.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Video Card  ($149.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Phanteks ECLIPSE P400 ATX Mid Tower Case  ($69.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Corsair CXM 450W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($53.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $537.13

i5 iGPU BUILD

PCPartPicker part list

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($229.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler  ($31.12 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($94.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory  ($44.19 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($49.99 @ Amazon)
Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($69.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Corsair CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($64.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $585.26

There's a couple clear advantages and disadvantages here, for both around the $550 budget, give or take $30. (And trust me, you can go even cheaper with what you're asking for.)

1050ti build:
  • Cheaper
  • Has a dedicated GPU
But:
  • Not future proof
  • The GPU isn't the strongest out there

i5 build:
  • Overclockability
  • Stronger CPU
  • Lack of a GPU allows for a future expansion
but:
  • Lack of a GPU WILL decrease performance in other, more intensive games
  • If you decide you want a GPU, you'll be spending more money

Sorry for the long ass post, I'm almost done here.
Here's a build going as cheap as I possibly can, cutting every corner, but still opting in for the discrete GPU.

PCPartPicker part list

CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor  ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: MSI H110M PRO-VD PLUS Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($46.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory  ($44.19 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($49.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Video Card  ($139.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Deepcool TESSERACT WH ATX Mid Tower Case  ($33.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($46.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $472.12

And there you have it. You could still save some money on each of these builds to support your need, these are just simple guidelines, giving you an idea of what you can do and for how much. Take it all with a grain of salt.

End long post, sorry for the novel.

found an example from the original thread.

Built a friend a new computer for Christmas. Me and another guy had some spare money, decided to drop a few on it. A huge step up from running CSGO at 20FPS, I must say.

Also bought him an LED strip with RGB and a color cycle, he's into that sort of stuff.

Specs:
  • NZXT S340  -  A well known case that makes installation of everything a breeze, and it looks great for cheap.
  • ASRock Pro4 h170  -  It was on sale, got it for $70 and has all the features he'll ever need.
  • 8GB 2133 RAM  -  1 Stick for when 16GB eventually becomes standard.
  • PNY 1060 6GB - A great GPU at a great price.
  • i3 6100 - A bit cheaper but allows ease of upgrade with the socket plus DDR4, which is why I chose intel.
  • Went with a 550 PSU from corsair and a Wi-Fi card from Archer, supports AC and the 5GHz band. Useful since his dorm room isn't setup very well plus he moves a lot.

A quick peek at the lighting feature with still images.

Probably my favorite build I've ever made, the S340 is an amazing case, I cannot get over how well it holds up, especially for a $60 case. If you're looking for a budget case and a minimalist design with ease of build is a concern, this is a great case.

The only Shiny I've ever received is Starly. Considering it's my favorite of the bird evolutions I was happy with it, but it's currently stuck on my Pearl Cartridge which I've seemed to lost. Oh well :(
