Fraps does (and probably the only one) good quality recording.
Pay the low price or suck it up.

If all else fails, use a crappy recorder that has horrible quality and puts a lame watermark on your video.

If that still fails, throw quality in your backyard and stuff on it and record your computer monitor with a camera.

Fraps isn't the only video recorder. There we're 3 that I found that we're free and had great quality.  I just can't remember any of the names. :/
