am I reading the same thing you are, did you link the wrong thing...? nothing in that seems wrong at all. in context the one sentence you disregarded the rest of the program for explains that it’s so that those currently employed in fossil fuel or any other occupation no prioritized by the green new deal don’t lose their wages from a market drop
without this insurance people would just dramatically quit their fossil fuel jobs and try to get a “clean” job before there are enough jobs and systems in place to support them
92 percent of Democrats and 64 percent of Republicans support the Green New Deal according to latest polls.
Bullstuff
These projects include upgrading virtually every home and building for energy efficiency,
This is going to be loving expensive and it's either going to come out of taxes or the home owner's pocket.
The question isn’t how will we pay for it, but what is the cost of inaction, and what will we do with our new shared prosperity created by the investments in the Green New Deal.
Egotistical rooster-stroking, while also ignoring a self-proposed question. A question, that might I add, is the very same question they throw at Annoying Orange over the wall. Can't have it both ways, how are you going to loving pay for it?
We will finance the investments for the Green New Deal the same way we paid for the original New Deal, World War II, the bank bailouts, tax cuts for the rich, and decades of war – with public money appropriated by Congress.
Holy stuff. This is just an outright admission that they're just going to tax ya for it. and again like it was stated before, this will go toward those "unwilling" to work. That is socialism.
This bill is just socialism in disguise as a save the earth plan.
Much like any other stupid evil plots in the past, this is an attempt to cover their mal-intent with the "Oh you must be against X, if you're against this!" argument.
