the original image wasn't square, you can't just resize it into a square

i used GIMP to resize it, i did not resize it manually
if it can't be done properly automatically and by a computer how can a human do it properly
i'm sorry if i'm being a richard but holy stuff, give me space to make mistakes (me implying i made one, even though i don't think i did)
