I'm talking about like Halo, Unreal Tournament or even here on blockland.
It's usually rather colourful with planets that would collide with each other if their orbits were realistic.

Halo CE had great environmental design and atmosphere for it's time

i always did love looking at the immersive clearly-the-inside-of-a-sphere-with-a-space-texture-on skyboxes. they were so well made. if i looked at it hard enough the seams on the skybox's faces almost melted away
