i've read the entire qu'ran about 3 times. it mentions punishment of stone and fire to people who aren't faithful, but it doesn't promote or tell people to kill.

The whole idea of Jihadism is to attack people in self defense or in the name of your state, but that's literally self defense

I have a serious question for you. When the US army says in one of their recruiting videos 'fight to defend democracy' or something similar, is that not the same thing as Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah…?

The only difference is that one is about protecting a government system and the other is about protecting a religion. But they're both calls to action, calls to fighting.

The 'jihadism' i'm talking about is the fight to defend people who also follow the same religion, not the 'jihadism' that someone talks about before detonating their explosive vest. There's a fundamental difference between the two, one is entirely more specific and misinterpreted.
